Install FAST on macOS

FAST supports macOS 14 Sonoma and newer. Installation takes a few minutes and does not require reduced security settings.

    Download the signed DMG

    Use the download link supplied with your FAST purchase. Keep the original filename so the version remains visible.

    Move FAST to Applications

    Open the DMG and drag FAST onto the Applications folder. Eject the disk image, then launch FAST from Applications — not from inside the DMG.

    Approve the first launch

    FAST is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple. Open it normally; you should never need to bypass a macOS security warning or disable System Integrity Protection.

    Grant Accessibility permission

    Open System Settings › Privacy & Security › Accessibility and enable FAST. This permission lets FAST read and move windows; it does not grant access to their contents.

    Activate your license

    Paste the Polar license key from your receipt into Settings › License. FAST stores it in the macOS Keychain and keeps working for up to seven days between successful checks.
